My Little Pony Aisle at Toys R Us - VIDEO

Don't you just love walking around Toys R Us and seeing what they have!  I was in there last night to pick up my final Star Wars Epic Battles Medal and I decided to take a little video of the My Little Pony Aisle.  They have an entire aisle!  I lived very close to a Toys R Us as a kid and I would walk over there after school and just walk up and down the aisles and just look at every toy in the store, trying to decide what I might get someday.

Masha & The Bear

Have you heard of this cute cartoon, Masha and the Bear?  It's a super cute show.

My sister recently made a costume for a little girl who was Masha for Halloween.  She had some leftover fabric, so she made another play dress in size 2T and can make one in different little girl sizes.  The listing is here on Etsy for the ready made size 2T or for a Custom Made Masha and the Bear dress size 2T-6.

Masha and the Bear Dress available on ETSY.

ET the Extra Terrestrial - Drunk Play Figure

The Movie ET came out when I was 6.  It was the most amazing thing to me.  Especially when the ET and Michael Jackson record came out.  At six, I was convinced that I would marry Michael Jackson someday, and now he was best friends with my favorite alien!  If you want "kids" movies from the 80's they are pretty different then they are now.  There is this scene in ET where he finds beer in the fridge and gets super drunk. Elliot, being connected with ET, starts acting drunk at school.  Being that kids loved this part so much, they immortalized it in a pvc figure.

Here kids, relive the fun of getting drunk, maybe you can try it yourselves someday!

Grab this figure, and some other fun ET items from my ebay store.....

MORE Sears Christmas Book 1954 - TOYS, Sporting Goods, Housewares and Gifts

I am loving the 1954 Housewares!  Also, the toys are amazing!  This was the year of Roy Rogers. Roy Rogers in Toys, clothes, housewares, gifts, pretty much everywhere!

Cabbage Patch Kids 1987

In 1987 I was 11.  Maybe a little old for Cabbage Patch Dolls, but I still loved them and played with them daily.  I had Cabbage Patch Sheets. The dolls were all set up and dressed in my room, sitting in their Playpen.  I only took my dolls down and put them away when I was 13 and some friends from school came over and told me it looked like a 3 year old's room.  The next day they were all bagged up and put into the attic.

45th Anniversary of the Exploding Whale - Florence, OR

I live in Portland, Oregon.  This story has been a source of  entertainment for my entire life.  There was a time when they would play this video anytime they could connect it to some news story.  As the story goes, a giant whale washed up on the Central Oregon Coast.  After a few days it really started to stink, so they had to figure out what to do with it.  No one wanted to cut it up, or burn it, so they decided to blow it up.  The hope was that the dynamite would basically disintegrate it into teeny tiny pieces.  They put a half ton of dynamite next to the whale, moved everyone back a thousand feet, and let her blast.  Apparently, 1,000 pounds of dynamite is not enough to disintegrate a whale! In the video you will hear some click, click, click sounds.  That's whale rain!  Little and BIG chunks of whale when everywhere.  A car a 1/4 mile away was totaled by a chunk of whale meat.  I can't even imagine how you would have smelled after being covered in bits of several day old dead whale.

Bring Back Mystery Science Theater 3000 - MST3K

This was such a fun show.  I am totally obsessed with classic horror because of all of the ridiculousness of it all, and this show did a great job of pointing out the silliness and making goofy jokes about it all.  Recently the creator and host of the show started a Kickstarter campaign to reboot the show.  I love the idea that fans can come together and bring back something they love.  It's over half way backed with 30 days left, so it looks pretty good.  Hooray!

Halloween Movies - Crimson Peak and Hotel Transyvania 2

Crimson Peak

In the aftermath of a family tragedy, an aspiring author is torn between love for her childhood friend and the temptation of a mysterious outsider. Trying to escape the ghosts of her past, she is swept away to a house that breathes, bleeds...and remembers.

This movie felt extremely long and confusing.  The story line is choppy.  Most of the devices used to develop story go absolutely nowhere and some make absolutely no sense. I am all about suspending disbelief to enjoy a story, but there is just TOO MUCH.  Other story points are crammed down your throat in several unnecessary ways. The characters aren't developed well, which is sad because they are good actors who were obviously doing their best to act the crap out of bad dialog.  And it's not scary.

You know how people sometimes write posts on all the things wrong with the movie?  That post would be longer than the movie itself.

Verdict: Waste of Time and Money

Hotel Transylvania 2

This one was actually pretty good.  I enjoyed it more than I did the first one.  There are lots of jokes and gags that the kids will love and plenty of subtle  jokes for adults, that will go over kids heads.  There's a good little story and lots of fun action.

Verdict:  The Kids will love it and you will enjoy it too.

Universal Monsters Dracula Puzzle - Halloween Decorations

I love Halloween and Horror Movies!  Especially anything with Bella Lugosi in it.  I absolutely love Dracula and could go very macabre and decorate my entire house in vampires and zombies.  I've decided to go a little more mainstream.  I am finally willing to let this puzzle go.

Coloring Book Showcase - Meet the Muppets 1977

This coloring book was made by Happy House.  They probably make the best coloring books.  They are detailed, have new art we haven't seen, and know the characters.  I hate today's generic coloring books!

Treasure Trolls - Galoob - Booklet

I have to admit that I never understood the appeal of Trolls.  I remember a friend having a whole shelf of them and I was afraid to sleep over at her house because they just creeped me out.   But I know that people love them and use them as good luck charms.  It reminds me of that episode of Brady Bunch, when they thought the Tiki idol was lucky but they later decided it was really unlucky!  Whether you are for or against trolls, enjoy....

A few Trolls I have for sale now ....

Snoopy's Wardrobe 1971

Snoopy had quite the wardrobe!  He must have tried lots of jobs in the 70's. Not sure I'd feel real confident if Surgeon Snoopy walked into my operating room.

A few Peanuts items I currently have listed on Ebay...........
